Deepwater Horizon (2016)

Mike Williams is an engineer on a platform called Deepwater Horizon. Mike goes on a three-week business trip to a platform that is engaged in drilling a well for an oil company. At the take-off site, he meets with his colleagues and the first shift. Arriving on the ship, Mike immediately undertakes to check all the data.

The team of engineers finds out that one of the experiments on the amount of cement in the well was not carried out. The company's workers said they saw no reason to do an expensive check. However, Mike and his partner insist on an experiment with negative pressure. When a group of engineers begins checking, drilling fluid begins to break out of the well, and then methane begins to come out, which soon caught fire. All this happens in the open ocean. Oil flows out of the well. The size of the disaster is getting bigger and bigger. Now the engineers have to correct the situation.
