The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

The beginning of the eighties of the last century, San Francisco. Spouses Linda and Chris Gardner, together with their son, live in a cramped apartment. The head of the family engaged in the sale of densitometers has recently been experiencing serious difficulties, since few people buy expensive products. His wife works in the hotel laundry, earning mere pennies.

A married couple facing financial problems often begins to quarrel. One day, Linda leaves her husband and child. A woman moves to New York, hoping to find a better life in a large metropolis. Chris understands that he needs to make every effort to pull himself and his son out of a deep hole in life. A caring father makes a spontaneous decision to take an internship in a brokerage company. A man will get a position if he manages to win the fight against twelve competitors. Gardner cannot miss the opportunity to change his own existence.
